André Orlando Porter, 55, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021.

André was born on April 28, 1966 to Barbara Jean Covington and Charles Edward Gilbertt in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended school in Malden, Missouri then went into the United States Army after graduation.

André worked at Conagra Foods until retirement.

André was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Clemie Porter, and father, Charles Edward Gilbertt.

André is survived by his two children, Paradise Robinson and Andrea Porter, life partner, Henritta Ross, mother, Barbara Covington, grandchildren, Armarje Robinson, Londell Robinson, Avionna Mcfadden, Trevontae Mcfadden, lyana Gordon, Isiah Gordon, Jr., and one to be(unborn).  And a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Davis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
