Anna Bell Barr 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 16, 2024.

She had just moved into her forever home nearer to her children and grandchildren. She was a very feisty gal, who really enjoyed Antiques, Coca-Cola stuff, Genealogy, and dressing up her home with antiques, family pictures, and all sorts of neat odds and ends.

She worked for several educational institutions through the years, and retired from St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, where she really enjoyed watching the students grow and excel.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben & Gladys Barr, and two brothers Jack & Ben Barr.

She is survived by her daughter Tina (David) Hobbs of McLouth, KS, son Tim Gates of Kansas City, KS, and son Earl Gates of Shawnee, KS. She was Nana to five grandchildren Ryley, Madelyn, Kiger, Tommy & Ty Gates, and Grandma Anna to many more through our extended family members. She is also survived by her siblings Robert, Fred & Larry Barr and Betty Pantoja, and nephew Bobby Pantoja.

She loved her family and extended family tremendously and was always ready for family gatherings, and to help in any way she could.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 7pm on April 25, 2024 at Davis Funeral Chapel at 531 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048. I
