Anna Marie Rayser, 93, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at North Kansas City Hospice. Anna
Marie was born December 3, 1931, to Edward J. Bott and Anna (Fink) Bott, in Leavenworth, KS. She was
a 1950 graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Leavenworth. Anna Marie married Merlin E. Rayser on October
16, 1954, at St. Joseph of the Valley Church. She worked at Hallmark Cards and after the birth of her first
child, became a homemaker. Later she worked at The Leavenworth Times and The Chronicle Shopper.
She enjoyed working outside and helping her son with farm work.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, son, Michael D. Rayser and brother Edward J. Bott,
Jr. Anna Marie is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Thompson, Easton, and Marlene (Kevin) Morley,
Leavenworth, sister Mary (Norman) Michael, St. Peters, MO, four grandchildren, Michelle (Shane)
White, Kevin (Erin) Thompson, James Morley and Sarah Morley and six great grandchildren, Isabel,
Ezekiel, Lilian, Cooper, Mariah, and Gianna.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel
with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 10:30
a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

(Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society), 728 Cherokee St., Leavenworth, KS.
