Arthur A. Johnson, (Buddy) 77, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed, Friday, October 8, 2021, at St. Lukes Hospital, from this world into the Loving arms of Jesus. He was born on Feb. 4, 1944 to Mary (Opliger) Johnson and Arthur M. Johnson, preceding him in death are his parents, 2 sisters, Mary Biggins & Patty Sheeds and also 1 nephew, Phillip Sheeds. He leaves behind his Loving wife of 43 years Betty (Haddock) Johnson, 2 daughters, Barbara (Randy) Hindman, Shannon (Greg) Schwartz, 2 sons, Timothy Roberts & Michael Roberts, all of Leavenworth, Kansas. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren; Cassandra, Timothy, Patrick, Colton, Julia, Lorraine, Taylor, Cheyenne, Samantha and 5 great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, Including his Best Furry Boxer Friend, Buddy, Jr.
Arthur went to school in Leavenworth and graduated from Leavenworth High, Lettering in both, Football and Wrestling, which after graduating continued to be active in those sports by officiating. Arthur was also an avid race car fan and quite the handyman and was always there to lend a helping hand to all that needed one. Arthur worked for Geiger Ready-Mix Co., Inc. and retired after 26 yrs of dedicated and loyal service. He will be truly missed by his many friends and family and others that knew him.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, Oct. 14th @ 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Howard Jones of Fortress of Faith Christian Fellowship Church. Both Services will be held at The Davis Funeral Chapel– Interment at Mount Muncie Cemetery. Afterward, Lunch will be served for family and friends at the Fortress of Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 2700 Wilson Ave.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family to help with medical expenses.
