Barbara Ruth Bramlett passed away on Thursday November 18th 2021 at KC Hospice House.
Barbara was born on February 9, 1948 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Hugh D. Harmon and Marian V. Harmon. She was one of four children, her siblings included: Kenneth Harmon, Ronnie Harmon, and Roger Harmon.
Barbara married on September 16th 1966 to David V. Bramlett at First Christian Church in Leavenworth, KS.
Barbara graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1966. She took several college courses to help advance her career. She had several job performance awards as a Civil Service employee. Barbara was employed for Civil Service starting as a secretary at the college, then a secretary at CACDA, and later as an assistant Editor at the Media Support Center. She had a stroke in 1995 forcing her to take a disability Retirement.
While David was in the Military Barbara lived with him in EI Paso, Texas, and traveled with him to West Germany. After the military we lived in Leavenworth. Kansas owning 3 different Homes, Barbara designed and drew up the plans on our present Home.
Barbara enjoyed canvas painting, crocheting, and reading. Barbara was very active in Bowling, Softball, and like to play Golf when she could. Barbara love mushroom hunting and she loved her computer games. She loved fishing, camping, and traveling. Her favorite place was Estes Park, Colorado, Rocky Mountain National Park, and going to Las Vegas. She bowled a 651 series and was very proud of her 600 series Bowling pin. Barbara was a huge fan of the KC Chiefs, KC Royals and KU basketball. She was also a Bama football fan. Barbara loved cats and she enjoyed feeding stray and feral cats.
Barbara loved raising two wonderful children while also working full time as well as designing and building our new home. Survived by David Bramlett at the home, Vicky Harbison of KC, MO, Cynthia Lee (Greg) of Bethany, MO.5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren , 1 Brother Kenneth Harmon, (Sue) of Leavenworth, KS.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and 2 brothers, Ronnie and Roger Harmon.
Memorial service will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.
