Beverly Ann Vasko Frock, age 99, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on May 18, 2026 at Twin Oaks Health and Rehab in Lansing, Kansas. She was the only child of Dr. James Donald Vasko and Martha Cruise Vasko. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, graduated from Benson High School, and attended Creighton University where she met her future husband of 61 years, Robert Thomas Frock, a former Army Air Corps aviator. While attending Creighton, she was a member of Kappa Zeta Kappa, a Jesuit university sorority, later becoming president of the sorority alumni association.
Mr. and Mrs. Frock were charter members of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Omaha, where she was the second president of the Ladies Altar Guild.
Mr. Frock’s business career took the family to live in Lubbock, Texas, Buffalo, New York, and Houston, Texas. Upon his retirement in 1981, the couple moved to North Padre Island at Corpus Christi, Texas. They became volunteers with the Sparklers, a volunteer group with the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau. In 1998, after 17 years and over 3000 volunteer hours, they were named volunteers of the year.
Mr. and Mrs. Frock belonged to St. Andrew by the Sea Catholic Church on Padre Island where Beverly was a lector, Eucharistic minister, parish historian, and member of the Ladies Altar Society. They were members of Padre Island Country Club, where they enjoyed playing golf, socializing with friends, and organizing a duplicate bridge club.
Beverly was an avid bridge player and gave bridge lessons for many years. She enjoyed playing the piano, doing needlepoint, reading, and collecting antiques. In their retirement years, the couple enjoyed traveling to Europe and taking ocean cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal, among many others. Throughout their 61 year marriage, they enjoyed dancing whenever the occasion arose.
After living on Padre Island for 24 years, they moved to Lansing, Kansas, to be closer to family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert E. Frock, and grandson, David A. Studnicka.
She is survived by four children, their spouses and families: Barbara (Donald) Studnicka, Lansing, KS; Susan (Neal) Walde, Chapel Hill, NC; James (Anna Maio) Frock, Omaha, NE; Patricia (Lon) Edwards, Brenham, TX; daughter-in-law Patricia Ryan (Robert), Omaha, NE; granddaughter-in-law Joey Studnicka (David), Lenexa, KS; six grandchildren: Elizabeth (Weston) Stratman, Jefferson City, MO; Benjamin (Alexandra) Frock, Nashville, TN; Joseph Frock, Omaha, NE; Katie Frock, Omaha, NE; Stacy (Daniel) Aguilar, Fort Worth, TX; Megan (Juan) Ramirez, Brenham, TX; and nine great grandchildren: Sloane, Joseph, Gabrielle, Grace, Gianna, Jane, Anna, Maverick, and Jackson.
