Charles "Chuck" Eugene Starr, 69, Lansing, KS, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021. He was born on September 8, 1952, in St. Joseph, MO to the late Robert and Levarah Starr.

A man of his word. Unafraid and unapologetic. His nearly 40-year professional career included US Marine Sgt., St. Joseph, MO police officer and Federal Bureau of Prisons officer.

To have known Chuck means you knew of his love of baseball, beer, cars and sugar. You knew he never did anything halfway. Everything in order. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, generosity and dependability.

Survivors include wife, Yolanda; daughter, Teresa Rainey (Shaun) St. Louis, MO; stepchildren, Gyasi Talbot Glendale, CA and Jemilah Talbot City Terrace, CA; brother, Robert Starr (Lenetta) Lawrence, KS; sister, Deborah Starr Dallas, TX; 3 grandchildren, Franklin Williams Jr., Finley Williams, Shani Rainey; aunt, Brenda Green San Antonio, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

Inurnment and Military Honors will be 11 A.M., Monday, November 29, 2021 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
