Burial will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Charlotte was born on September 20, 1932, to Walter and Margaret Orlowski in Leavenworth, KS. She married her beloved husband, Bob, in 1951, and they remained inseparable throughout their lives together.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; a sister, Margarette; and a brother, Walter, Jr.
She is survived by a son, Michael, of Overland Park, KS; a granddaughter, Erin (Brett) Lambert, of Leawood, KS; a grandson, Jared (Kayla) Goff, of Roeland Park, KS; and three great- grandchildren—Leslie Charlotte Lambert, Luke Robert Lambert, and Levi Paul Lambert.
Charlotte was devoted to her Lord and to her family. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she held numerous leadership positions. She served as church organist for 59 years and as Choir Director for many years, reflecting her deep love of gospel music. Her music ministry also included membership in the "Calvary Echoes" singing group, which performed at local churches and nursing homes. She served as a Sunday School teacher, AWANA leader, Junior BYF leader, and in various other leadership positions in church ministry.
She and Bob were very active in the Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) ministry, speaking at many local churches throughout Kansas on behalf of this international nonprofit organization whose primary purpose is to provide practical and spiritual support to Christians being persecuted for their faith around the world. Charlotte retired in 1987 as Chief of Schedules Branch at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS. After her retirement, she served as organist for Davis Funeral Chapel and also played at local churches for other funeral services.
In addition to their love of family and faith, Charlotte and Bob were devoted fans of the Kansas Jayhawks.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Charlotte's name to Calvary Baptist Church, 4451 10th Avenue, Leavenworth, KS 66048. (The church's website is calvaryleavenworth.com.)
