Obituary

Charlotte L. Milligan, 78, of Leavenworth, Kansas went home to meet her Lord and Savior on October 16, 2021.

She was born on January 15, 1943 in Falls City, Nebraska to Ivan and Mary Jo (Linscott) Baumann. She and her siblings were raised in Cummings, Kansas with the help of their grandparents, Louis and Virginia Linscott. On July 6, 1969, she married Jerry Milligan, who was serving in the United States Air Force. They were assigned to Torrejon AB, Spain in 1976 and attended a small Baptist church. In April 1978, Charlotte accepted Jesus Christ into her life and Jerry accepted Christ in June 1978.

Charlotte was a loving daughter, wife, mother, granddaughter, sister and aunt and she loved and doted on all her nieces and nephews. In 1980, Jerry retired and agreed to live in Effingham, KS to be near Charlotte's mother who she dearly loved. They relocated to Leavenworth, KS in 1984 and worked for the U.S. Army. Charlotte worked in Central Accounting and Jerry in DPW.

Charlotte endured a lifetime of serious health issues. She had Type one diabetes for 68 years (that finally claimed her kidneys), leading to five years of dialysis, breast cancer, and heart surgery. She truly loved and appreciated the staff of Davita Dialysis Center and she felt the love that each member and other patients had for her.

She is survived by her husband, stepson Michael Milligan, stepdaughter Linda (Jeff) Crubaugh, two granddaughters, Christina Praiswater and Jessica Lawson, 7 great grandchildren, her brothers Lynn (Lilly) Baumann and Skip Baumann,  her sister, Ginger (Gary) Meyer, her brother-in-law, John Smith,  and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, grandparents, and sister, Pamela.
