Cheryl E.
Foroi
Dec 31, 1954 — Mar 24, 2025
Leavenworth
With gentle hearts and fond memories, we announce the peaceful departure of Cheryl Morris
Foroi, a woman who wove quiet magic into the lives of those she loved. Born on the cusp of a
new year, December 31st, 1954, in Houston, Texas, Cheryl embarked on her seventy-year
journey, finally finding rest in the comfort of her Kansas home on March 24th, 2025.
Though life presented its share of thorny patches, Cheryl navigated them with a quiet strength
and an unwavering ability to show up for those she held close.
For 22 years, she wrangled paperwork and kept things running smoothly as an Admin
extraordinaire at the Houston Fire Department, retiring in 2012. Cheryl cherished her work at the
Fire Department and the many friendships she developed during her time there.
Her true vocation, however, was the art of nurturing and creating. With skilled hands and a
boundless imagination, she transformed discarded "junk" into cherished treasures, turning
"what-nots" into "oh-wows".
She had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and valued, her thoughtful gestures and
heartfelt gifts a testament to her gentle spirit. Cheryl lived a humble life, finding joy in simple
pleasures and quiet moments.
Though she preferred the gentle hum of her own company, her impact on those she loved was
profound. She loved her two children Derek (40) and Lauren (35) whom she lived with her in her
new Kansas home. Cheryl also had plenty of room in her big heart to spoil her loyal
companions, Gunner the dog and Rose the cat, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and a
touch of glitter.
She had a heart as big as her craft room, and she dedicated her life to caring for Derek and
Lauren, making sure they knew they were loved beyond measure.
She taught us to find joy in the little things and to embrace our inner child.
Instead of tears, lets remember her with smiles, recalling her gentle spirit and the quiet strength
she possessed.
In lieu of grand gestures, please honor Cheryl by finding beauty in the ordinary, doing something
kind for someone, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the stars.
With love and a whole lot of sparkle, you will forever be missed, mom!
