Christopher Allen Koons, 38, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Chris resided in Lansing, Kansas.

Christopher was born on January 6, 1984 to Martin Allen and Debra Laura (Taylor) Koons in York, Pennsylvania. Christopher was the youngest of two boys.

Chris graduated from Red Lion Senior High in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. After high school graduation he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Christopher also obtained a Master's Certificate. While in the United States Army he completed many training courses and acquired certificates from them as well.

While serving in the Army Christopher was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5 ^th award), Army Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global war on Terrorism Service Medal, and Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star.

Christopher lived in many states throughout his life; to include Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, and Kansas, due to his military career.

Christopher met Marissa Salinas and had two children through this union. His sons were his pride and joy and he loved Hayden and Mason very much.  He enjoyed watching football games and cheering on the Eagles and liked to golf.  Chris enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hot wings and having a cold one.

Christopher is survived by his two sons, Hayden Allen Koons and Mason Allen Koons (Texas), mother, Debra Laura Koons (Ohio), brother, Scott Allen Koons (Ohio), nieces, Ashtyn (Koons) Dewey, Kennedy (Koons) Bryne, Gracelyn Koons, and Abigayle Koons, All from Pennsylvania and a niece, Taylor Koons from Indiana. Chris is also survived by his special companion, Jodilynn Smith and his ex-wife Marissa Guerra, as well as many other friends and military family.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. with a Masonic Service at 1 P.M. and Military Funeral Honors at 3 P.M. in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for a fund to his children.
