Charles "Chuck" Bennett Filbert passed away at age 63 in Kansas City, Kansas on August 29th, 2023.

Though born in Leavenworth, Ks, he was raised in Lansing, Ks and attended Lansing schools until graduating in 1979.  In 1984 he married Venita Viola Goodman of Lansing, Ks. Shortly after, they moved to Fairmount, Ks where they would raise their three daughters.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Mary "Izzy" and Clarence "Bud" Filbert, his brother Clancy Filbert and his wife Sharie, his brother Jimmy Filbert, and his brother-in-law Jim Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Venita, his daughters Secret Goodman and her husband Elijah Nichols, Charlsey Filbert and her husband Jake Cosgrove, and Olive Brown and her husband Armor, his 9 grandchildren Kaden, Isabel, Adara, Bennett, Sally, Enzie, Armor, June, and Royce, his siblings Harriet Smith, Billy and Sabra Filbert, Danny Filbert, and Judy and Kevin Cammack, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews and friends he considered family.

Services will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation to Operation Wildlife of Linwood, Kansas, a wildlife facility that Chuck supported and admired. Donations can be made online at http://www.owl-online.org .
