Cody "Buck" Johannes, 42, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He was a resident of Leavenworth, Kansas.

Buck enjoyed riding his motorcycle, training and spending time with dogs, fishing, and his work, grilling, making people laugh and smile. Cody always was working around the house fixing things up in his spare time.

Cody worked at Triumph Foods then at Kersten Concrete with a passion. He recently acquired his CDL. He was always a voice of reason and an advocate for sobriety.

Cody is preceded in death by his half-brother, Christopher King.

Cody "Buck" James Johannes is survived by his Father, Dennis James Johannes of Independence, Mo and Mother, Shelley Ann King of Hutchinson, KS, two half-sisters, Abby Jones of Belton, MO and Katie Ellison of Colorado Springs, CO, Daughter, Kristin Gengler, two nieces and one nephew, loving companion, Erica Byrns, ex-wife, Stephanie (Eric) Nodwell.

Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Davis Funeral Chapel to help with the funeral costs. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
