Cora L. Linn, 86, Overland Park, KS passed away on Wednesday September 16, 2026, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS while surrounded by family and friends.

Cora was born June 17,1940 the daughter of Thurman and Emma Riley in Kansas City, KS. She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School and married William D. Linn on August 22, 1959, at the Chelsea Baptist Church. They were together through thick and thin until his passing. Cora and William raised two children, Terri and William Jr., and lived in the Lansing, KS area for many years.

Cora was a long-time employee in restaurant management and loved working with young people. In later years she was a strong advocate of mental health awareness and volunteered in many local programs helping those in crisis. Her greatest personal achievement was working as a counselor on a call-in service for persons in crisis where she would talk with them for as long as needed and direct them to other services for assistance.

Cora is survived by her daughter, Terri (John) Nelson of Overland Park, KS. her son, William (Tracey) Linn, Jr Lansing, KS, four grandchildren Kaci, Jo, Colton, and Hunter. One great-grand daughter Emerlynn and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her Husband William and two sisters Kathlee Whtle and Betty Bernard.

A private burial will be held at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time. In Lieu of flowers family requests donations be made in Cora’s name to the Guidance Cener in Leavenworth KS
