Corey Daniel Boyd was a caring father, son, brother, and uncle. He left this world suddenly on January 17, 2023 in Platte City, MO.
Corey was born to Teri Alexander and Michael Summerville on February 14, 1982 in Leavenworth, KS. Corey graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School, Easton, KS in 2000. After graduating High School, he went to North Central Technical College and recieved Heavy Equipment Operator degree. After completing college Corey began working for the Operating Engineers Local 101. His most recent
employer was Rodriguez Mechanical Contractors, Inc.
Corey enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He always liked being outdoors going fishing, hunting, and riding four wheelers. He loved fixing his cars and truly enjoyed his profession as a Heavy Equipment operator. He was a proud father to his daughter Amaya Boyd; they loved spending time cruising around in his truck listening to rock music, eating sushi, watching movies, and playing the guitar.
Corey is survived by his Mother Teri Alexander and Father Michael Summerville; his daughter Amaya Boyd; his siblings Tesia Easley (Elliot Easley); Georgia Summerville, Jacquelyn Eure (Maiden Summerville), Matt Alexander; his neices Jayde Easley, Sierra Easley, Chandler Eure and Nephews Nico Easley, Chase Eure, Jaxon Eure. Corey is preceaded in death by his stepfathers Louis Wayne Jordan and Thomas Alexander, his brother
Darrin Alexander, and his grandparents Leo and Ruby Emge, Louis "Buster" and Jean Jordan, and Ray
and Janet Alexander.
A visitation is scheduled for 5:00 pm on January 24, 2023, immediately followed by a memorial service
at 6:30 pm at Davis Funeral Chapel.
