Danny L Jessip, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on May 30th, 2024, in Leavenworth Kansas. Born in Emporia Kansas on September 29, 1942, to Ruby Strange and LaVerne Peter Jessip. Danny was a devoted family man who touched the lives of many with his kindness and love.
Danny is Preceded in death by his mother Ruby Strange; stepfather Charles Strange; wife Kerry L Jessip. He is survived by brothers Bill Jessip, Ralph Jessip, and Tommy Strange; sister Donna Rose; children Danette Cort, Diane Parke and husband Ray, Charles (Chuck) Jessip and wife Mary, Ralph Dean Jessip; grandchildren Ben, Dennis, Jennifer, Donny, Thomas Howell and wife Jennifer , Victoria Wren , Athena Lanter &
husband Shawn, Richard Jessip & wife Beth, Sean Jessip and wife Sharon, Brandon Jessip, and Dustin Jessip ; as well as twenty great-grandchildren and twelve great- great-grandchildren.
Danny served proudly in the US Army before embarking on a successful career as a truck driver for over forty years alongside his beloved late wife Kerry. He had an unwavering passion for photography which he shared with those around him through capturing precious moments of joy. His love for fishing brought him peace and tranquility amidst life's chaos.
His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. A visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel located at 531 Shawnee St Leavenworth Ks from 6pm to 8pm on June 4th followed by a funeral service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1020 Limit St Leavenworth Ks at 830am on June 6th. The burial will take place at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 10am on June 6th.
