On Saturday August 6, 2022, Darcie Adams, loving wife, mother of one, aunt of many, passed away
at the age of 56.
Darcie was born August 29, 1965 to Leonard and Darlene (Williams) Peters, joining three older
brothers, Leonard, Douglas, and Bret. She graduated from Lansing High School in 1983 and shortly
thereafter married her high school sweetheart, James Adams, on September 10, 1983. In 1988, they
welcomed their only child, Katie into the world.
Darcie was a caregiver and confidant who touched the lives of everyone around her. She had a soft
spot for children and animals; there was never a baby she didn't wish to hold or a dog or cat she
didn't wish to spoil. Her blue-ribbon brownies were the highlight of every family function, and she
loved feeding the ones she loved. Among her favorite things were flowers, bright colors, Mickey
Mouse, ghost stories, and haunted houses.
Darcie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Leonard and Darlene, and her brother,
Doug. She is survived by her husband Jim, her daughter Katie and Katie's husband Doug, her
granddaughter Holly, and her brothers Lenny and Bret.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12 at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth. There
will be a visitation period from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, followed by service at 4:00pm.
