It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Allen Trinkle Jr. on April 7, 2023 at the age of 60 in Lansing, Kansas. David was born on June 13, 1962 to David Trinkle Sr. (deceased) and Margaret (Koker) Trinkle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Donna Marie (Timon) Trinkle. David's family includes his mother Margaret Trinkle, son Thomas Trinkle, daughter-in-law Jennifer Medrano, sister Shelley Mohan, brother-in-law Ralph Mohan, sister-in-law Esther Jones, sister-in-law Gina Owens, brother-in-law David Owens, brother-in-law Donald Timon (deceased), nephews Brandon (Mindy) Mohan, Kristopher Mohan, Steven (Taneaha) Kasper, Donald (Mandy) Timon, nieces Christine (Scott) Reusch, Ashley (Marc) Kappeas, Julie (Robbie) Boatright. David Trinkle was a pillar of the Lansing community. He was a professional auto mechanic for more than 30 years, including providing maintenance for city ambulances. David served as Lansing City Councilman from 2000-2023 and as a volunteer fire fighter and storm spotter for 15 years. He also founded the Lansing Fishing Derby. David and his wife Donna opened their home as foster parents for many years. David Trinkle has touched many hearts and made an impact on many lives. He will be missed dearly. Celebration of Life services will be Monday, April 17th at the Lansing Community Center from 6pm to 8pm.
