Debra Jean Price better know as DJ was born on March 7, 1965 in Mexico, Missouri to Gerald and Sue Day. She was later adopted by Beverly and Larry Henson. She walked into the arms of Jesus on January 19, 2022. In addition to her parents, DJ was preceded in death by her son, Robert Allen Clevenger, her sister Regina and brother Rick.
DJ married her husband, Mathew Price on September 11, 1998. They were married 23 years. They loved to spend time together watching their favorite shows, going out to dinner and taking weekend trips.
Her favorite things in life include her family, friends and God. She was a ferocious protector of the things she loved. She would have your back no matter what was going on. However, she was also not afraid to pull you aside and tell you to stop and straighten up.
DJ was someone her children could count on. She loved talking to her kids and being involved in their lives. She would drop whatever she was doing to be there when her kids needed her.
Her favorite title was GiGi. She loved her grandchildren with her whole heart. Spending time with them was a bright spot in her life. She would do anything she could for them.
DJ was the resident manager at AAA Ministorage since 2004. She loved helping and connecting with the customers. The number of times customers came in to do business and then pulled up a chair to just chat is amazing. She was a people person who loved to talk to others.
DJ loved God. When asked what advice she would like to leave for others when she went to Heaven this was her response. "Give it to God!!! Don't let people's words or actions take your joy. If you can fix it do and if not God can so leave it with Him."
DJ left behind these loved ones; her husband Mathew Price of Lansing, Kansas; her children Samantha Jones and Ralph of Lawrence, Kansas, Laurel Clevenger of Trenton, Kentucky, Amanda and Michael Davis of Litchfield, Kentucky and Jeffrey and Pamela Price of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; her grandchildren Heather and Job Jones, Guage Bruno and Trenton and Kylie Price, Addison Davis, Abigail, Dalton and Emmett Kerns; her siblings James Day, Oveta Sullivan, Becky Dawkins, Angel JJ and Shannon Henson; her bestie Kathy Clark.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, Kansas. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Weston, Missouri.
