Donald Gene Call Don G. Call, 91, of Basehor, KS passed away on Friday, December 29th, 2023. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at Basehor Baptist Church (3714 N. 155th St, Basehor KS) at 11:00 A.M. Don was born February 9th, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to Joseph and Pearl Call. He served in the Air Force for 4 years, where he was stationed in the States as an airplane mechanic until his honorable discharge. Don served the Lord in various Baptist churches in numerous capacities including teaching, singing, leading singing, and assisting in church plants. He was a barber in the Kansas City, KS area primarily at his shop on 82nd and State Avenue. Don enjoyed time with family and time at the lake boating and water skiing. He was preceded in death by his parents and his great grandson Ezra Jude Francis. Don is survived by his wife of 64 years Sondra Call; three children, Terry Call (Kandi) of Basehor, KS, Vickie Francis (Steve) of Basehor, KS, Tammy Carroll (Kevin) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister Mary Rodgers of Bonner Springs, KS; as well as 12 grandsons and their wives,1 granddaughter, 22 great grandchildren, and other relatives.
