Donna J. Powell, 87, Lansing, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2021, 4 to 6 P.M., at The First Christian Church, 130 N. 6th Street, Leavenworth, Kansas. Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Monday, August 30, 2021 at the church, with burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Donna was born in Liberty, Missouri on April 5, 1934.  She married Thomas G Powell in 1954 in Leavenworth County, Kansas. They lived in Lansing Kansas and raised 8 children.

Donna is survived by sons David Lee Powell, Wayne (Doug) Powell, James Robert Powell of Lansing, Kansas. A bonus son, John Rawson.  Three daughters Missy (Betty Jean) Cowhick (Kent), Lynne Atwell (Jim) and Cynthia (Cindy) Powell. In addition to 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also helped raise many nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Powell, sons: Thomas Stephen Powell (Kathy Nowlan Powell) and Timothy Scott Powell.

She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her.
