Obituary

(Betty) Elizabeth Johanna Patzwald answered her call from God on September 1, 2022.
Born to Master Sgt. Joseph and Alene Hamnm at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She grew up in Leavenworth surrounded by family and friends. She graduated Leavenworth High School and soon after married the love of her life, Gary Patzwald on February 7, 1970.
They were blessed with four children, twins Katherine and Kathleen, sons William and Matthew.
Elizabeth was a dedicated and hard-working employee of St John's Hospital for more than 30 years in the housekeeping Department.
Her life remained in Leavenworth surrounded by both family and friends. Cheering on her favorite teams the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and KU Jayhawks. She was an animal lover. Elizabeth maintained her close relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ throughout her life and shared it with everyone she met.
Waiting to welcome her home or her loving husband Gary Patzwald, with their children Kathleen and Katherine, twin daughters,
son Matthew, brothers Joe Jr, David, and Kenneth, parents Joseph and Alene Hamm, in-laws Richard and Pamela Patzwald, Donald and Patsy Beaman and nephew Danny Beaman, best Friends Georgia and Leonna.
She is survived by her son William( Kimberly) Patzwald of Leavenworth Kansas, Angie Jacobs- Munoz of Tonganoxie Kansas, dearest friend Penny Harris. Although everyone knew her as grandma, her grandchildren are Philip Johnson and family, Valerie Munoz and family, Austin Johnson and family Madison Robinette and family, Nicholas Patzwald and family, William Patzwald II, Mason Munoz and son Destiny Munoz, Thomas Patzwald and family, Lucas and Cole Lanbright, Amelia Munoz, siblings James ( Florentine City) Hamm, Linda Mae Hamm, Linda Smith, several nieces nephews and extended family members.
Betty was a soft-spoken woman with a caring heart, always with a gleam in her eye. She blessed all those she met and will be deeply missed.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
