Eva Mae
Wayman
d. Aug 30, 2021
Eva Mae Wayman, 92, of Lansing Kansas, wife of Francis Lee Wayman went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marie Clear of Warrensburg Missouri. Eva and Francis were happily married for 71 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a true and loyal friend to many. Eva attended Farmer's High School graduating in 1947.
Eva retired from Hallmark Cards, Inc in 1994. After retirement, Eva and Francis loved to travel and enjoyed visiting all 50 states with several trips to Europe. Eva enjoyed her Church family at First Christian Church of Leavenworth as well as volunteering for many years for Meals on Wheels and the Lansing Historical Society. Eva was an avid genealogist for both her family and that of the Wayman clan.
She loved to sew and making clothes for herself and kids when they were young was a creative outlet for her. After high school she worked as a seamstress at women's uniform factory. It was nothing for her to whip up a new outfit during the day to wear that night.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale and Carl Clear.
Remembering her with love are her husband, Francis; three children, Janet (the late Robert) Zirkle of Olathe and Bradenton Beach Fl, Jerri Jensen of Olathe and Steven (Karen) Wayman of Leavenworth; two grandchildren, Jessica Wayman (Tom Schlagel), of Bonner Springs and Tyler Wayman of McLouth. The last 16 months she loved watching her great granddaughter, Madelyn, grow up. Nothing brought her as much joy as visits from Maddie!
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M at First Christian Church, 130 N. Sixth Street, Leavenworth, KS. Funeral Service will follow at 11:30. We ask guests to wear masks if attending. Graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made First Christian Church or Leavenworth Meals on Wheels.
