Florence Rose A Black, 87, Lansing, KS passed away Saturday November 6 th , 2021, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. She was born October 8 th , 1934 in Fort Smith, AR the daughter of William L. Burns and Purlee  Burns. On June 11, 1950 in Lansing, KS she married Joseph H. Black. Rose along with her Husband Joe owned  and operated Oak Lane Mobile Home Park in Lansing, KS where she has resided since 1951.

Rose enjoyed crafting such as ceramics and needlepoint, and she really loved her Chiefs. She served on the  Leavenworth County board of Elections for many years, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star (past  Worthy Matron), the Social Order of Beauceants & Rebekahs for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 infant brothers, her siblings Charles Burns, Ruby Price, and Agnes  Honican, and her husband Joseph H. Black.

She is survived and grieved by her children: Tom (Susan) Black, Earl (Corinne)Black, Mary (Scott Erosky) Parks,  JoAnn (Randy) Hiatt all of Lansing KS.

Grandchildren: Donald J. Parks, Leila A Parks, Jennifer L Parks, Krysta Black-Mazumdar, Katie Black-Myers,  Sarah Hiatt, Rebecca Percifield, and Randi L Day.

Great grandchildren: Lydia, Jerlion, Alicia, Ta-letia, Malik, Aiden, Merida, Matthias, Aurora, Roselynn, Henry, Rohan, Hadley.

Great Great Grandchildren: Scarlett, Khloe

The family would like to express our gratitude for the care Rose received at Twin Oaks Rehab, KU Medical  Center, Santa Marta Rehab, and Overland Park Regional Medical Center in the final weeks of her life.

Recognizing Rose's love for animals, the family would suggest any memorial donations go to The Leavenworth  County Humane Society 100 W Gilman Rd. Lansing, KS 66043.

Visitation will be Tuesday November 16 th from 11AM -NOON with services to follow at Davis Funeral Chapel 531  Shawnee St. Leavenworth, KS 66048. Rose will then be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens 16731 Springdale  Rd. Leavenworth, KS 66048. The Family will receive guests at the Riverfront Community Center 123 S. Esplanade  Leavenworth, KS 66048 following internment.
