Francis
Meredith
Feb 5, 1981 — May 10, 2023
Kansas City
. Francis "Frank" L. McCune Meredith passed away on May 10th, 2023, much too soon at the age of 42. As a boy from Tonganoxie, Kansas, his youth was spent riding horses, enjoying the outdoors, playing darts, and getting into mischief with his cousin Eddy and brother Larry. Living there until his early 20's, he moved to Kansas City. He met a like minded community of friends that through the years became family. Feeling welcomed, he flourished in the city, creating the next chapter of his life, making Kansas City his final home. While not forgetting where he came from, visiting family and life-long friends whenever he could. One thing is for sure wherever he was, his dart case was with him. If you knew him well, he'd been, I guess you could say, bitten by the dart bug. The game gave him confidence, allowing him to play competitively because he was good! Living in his new city provided opportunities in darts and life, he didn't have before. He took full advantage, traveling to many other states, participating in dart tournaments. Always being the life of the party. In those new cities, he made many friendships along the way. It was also through his love of the game, he was able to be charitable, hosting benefits for numerous cancer charities, raising thousands on behalf of his mother's battle with the illness. Although darts were his passion, he loved fast cars and sports. Finally finding his dream car, a 1996 Mustang Cobra, he named "Mystic", that he was very proud of. He enjoyed the water, boating, riding his jet ski, and camping with his loved ones, whenever he got the chance. It's evident that he was/is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by so many. This world will not be the same, without his gentle soul in it. However, through grief we all know the light and bright spark he carried with him is still there! He's being silly, having fun, being that bigger than life personality, he's always been and always will be. He is survived by brother Larry and sister-in-law Brenda, Aunts Shirley and Barb, Eddie, Paul, his little dog River, and to many cousins and friends to mention. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and both sets of grandparents. Come celebrate his life on June 2nd 6:00 PM to Midnight, with dinner. Discounted hotel rooms are available at the venue. Leavenworth Local Hotel, 600 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048. If attending, please print a few favorite photos of him for our memory table and please wear colorful clothing.
