Frederick L. Baker,78, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Lansing Care and Rehabilitation in Lansing, Kansas.

He was born on September 9, 1942 in Winchester, Kansas to Fred and Ruth (Manthe) Baker. He was raised in the Winchester, Kansas area and graduated from Winchester Rural High School.  He also received an Associates of General Studies from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He retired from the Leavenworth Kmart after twenty-five years of service. During his retirement he volunteered at Cushing Memorial Hospital, the Heritage Center, the Leavenworth Public Library, and the Lansing Historical Society. He enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, and reading, especially books by Louis L'Amour and anything about American History.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Baker of the home, Other survivors include four sons Bud (Karen), Rodney (Karen), Jimmie (Ami), Travis (Leona), and their families; three brothers Roy (Jane), Larry (Sarah) and Ron (Jackie), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Emma Kay Baker and Beth Baker Eyestone, brother, Gary Baker.

A visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee, Leavenworth on Tuesday, January 19 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Winchester-Wise Cemetery with a private graveside service with The Reverend Dr. David York from First United Methodist Church Leavenworth presiding. Memorial donations may be made to Harbor Hospice, 7223 W. 95 ^th Street, Suite 230, Overland Park, Kansas, 66212.
