Gary William Stafford, 83, Easton, Kansas passed away Friday, April 5, 2024.

Gary was born August 27, 1940, in Easton, Kansas, the son of William B. and Evelyn (Robinson) Stafford. He married Gloria Jean Price on July 24, 1959. They were married almost 63 years. She preceded him in death. Gary is survived by two children, Toni A. (Stafford) Erwin, spouse Kevin Erwin, and Tod W. Stafford, spouse Terri (Zastrow) Stafford. Grandchildren, Jared J. Erwin, Jacob W. Erwin (Renee), Jordan M. Erwin (Kara), Julie N. (Erwin) Gales (John), Courtney B. Stafford and Samuel W. Stafford. Great Grandchildren, Kennedy, Charlotte, Hazel, Zoe, Julian, Aliza and Henry. Sibling Sondra Call, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anton J. and Verlene Price, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary S and Brenda Price.

Gary was a member of Easton United Methodist Church for over 60 years. He taught Sunday school, helped with the worship service, and prepared the bulletin for many years. Gary worked for Easton State Bank for more than 25 years, and Leavenworth National Bank for several years. He was the treasurer for the Easton United Methodist Church, the City of Easton, Easton Cemetery for many, many years. He was also the treasurer for the Easton Unified School District for almost 60 years.

Gary loved attending KU basketball games, including going to Hawaii twice to watch them play. He also enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. Growing up Gary was a very good athlete participating in football, basketball, and baseball. Even into his 70's, Gary enjoyed running.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Easton United Methodist Church in Easton, Kansas. Funeral service will be held at 11:30am Monday, April 15, 2024, at Easton United Methodist Church, Easton, Kansas; officiated by Dr. Alice Koech. A graveside service will be held at Easton Cemetery following the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be given to Easton United Methodist Church, PO Box 214, Easton, Kansas 66020.
