Glen M. Derritt, 80, Leavenworth, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Glen was born December 04, 1941 to Martin M. Derritt and Waltena R. Haines Derritt in Leavenworth, Kansas. Glen attended school in Leavenworth and graduated Leavenworth High School. Glen also took some classes at the Kansas City Kansas Community College. Glen was a lifelong member of the Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Church faith here in Leavenworth, Kansas. Glen was baptized in the name of Jesus at an early age and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in the early 60's.

Glen was united in marriage to Elizabeth A. Williams in 1962 and to this union three children were born. Elizabeth later passed in 1976.

Glen worked for the federal government for 33 years. After retiring he worked as a school bus driver for over 10 years in Lansing, Kansas.

Glen was later united in marriage to Brendolyn Shine October 08, 1999, with this union was joined her daughter and son.

Glen is prededed in death by his parents, wife (Elizabeth), and son Tracy.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Brendolyn, of the home, daughters; Helaine (Charles) Parish,  Lenexa, KS, LaWanda Shine Scott, Stockbridge, GA, sons; Robbie (Takisha) Derritt, Lawrence, KS and Frankie (Alexandria) Shine, III, Calera, AL., brothers; Paul (Sandra) Derritt, Kansas City, KS, Melvin Derritt, Leavenworth, KS, Gerald (Linda) Derritt, Columbia, MO, sister; Loretta Collins, Warrensburg, MO, Janice Smith, Warrensburg, MO, and also a host of nieces nephews and friends and family.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 A.M., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Church, 1701 5th Avenue, Leavenworth, with the Funeral service to begin at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
