Harry Blaine Weeks, Jr.
March 13, 1944 - June 17,2025


Harry Blaine Weeks, Jr. (HB) of Leavenworth passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on March 13,1944 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette Davidson Weeks and his two sons Harry Blaine Weeks III (Merry) of Basehor and Jeff Weeks (Wendy) of Olathe.  HB was known as Papa to his four grandchildren Chelsea Weeks Meiller (Stephen), Riley Weeks, Bailey Weeks (Anslea) and Sydney Weeks. He had two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Nora Meiller. His sister Linda Weeks Blust (Ray) of Parkville, Mo, sister-in-law Karin Davidson Jackson (Leon) of Leavenworth, two nephews and five nieces.


HB was preceded in death by his parents Harry B. Weeks, Sr and Ola Pridgeon Weeks, sister Melissa Weeks Matthes, sister-in-law Trudy Davidson Leavitt, brother-in-law Jerry Leavitt and niece Jennifer Jackson.

After graduating from Leavenworth High School, HB attended Kansas State University for one year, he served 6 years with the Kansas Air Guard.  While working at Leavenworth Floor Covering, he met and married Jeannette Davidson of Leavenworth.  HB retired as a Department of the Army Civilian after 30 years of service as a graphic design artist, working on numerous projects and publications for the United States Army.
HB was an active member of the community, serving as a city commissioner and Mayor for the city of Leavenworth. His love of sports and community led him to coaching numerous basketball, soccer, football, hockey and baseball teams. Many trophies were won by Team Spartan.
HB and Jeannette were married 60 years in March. They joined with their children and grandchildren to celebrate their love and life together.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Riverfront Community Center, Women's Room from 4:30 to 7:00. A private graveside service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the In Time of Need Foundation, www.intimeofneedfoundation.org.
