Henry John "Johnny" Klempnauer, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in Edwardsville, Kansas.

Henry was born December 7, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Charles and Martha Klempnauer. He had 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Henry graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1967. He enlisted in the USMC right out of high school and was a Vietnam Vet. He was also in the National Guard for several years. Henry completed the building trades program at Highland Community College.

He loved to go fishing and camping. He also liked to read and spend time with family.

Henry was married to Judith E. Klempnauer on May 16, 1992 in Boyle Station, Kansas. She precedes him in death. He had one son, Kennith Klempnauer , who preceded him in death. He also had 3 daughters. Monica Lowe, Sylvia Hunt (Dennis). The 3rd daughter, Kathy Burdette, also preceded him in death. Henry had 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death is both his father and mother, one sister, Jeanne, and one brother Lee.

A celebration of life and inurnment will be scheduled at a later date and time.
