Ivan LeRoy Skaggs passed away February 4 ^th , 2022 at Saint Luke's North Hospital.

LeRoy was born on February 6 ^th , 1943 to Ralph & Verna (McArthur) Skaggs in Elk Creek, Missouri. He married Judy Schuler on April 2 ^nd , 1966 at the First Baptist Church in Leavenworth. She survives at the home.

LeRoy retired in 1994 from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He is survived by son Matthew Skaggs of Lenexa, daughter LeAnn (Eric) Zell of Leavenworth, four beloved grandchildren who were the light of his life: Courtney Bennett of Wichita, Jandra Bennett of Overland Park, and Christian and Carter Skaggs of Leavenworth.

He is also survived by Justin, Jacob & Jamie Zell and their children of Indiana, brother Richard (Trudy) Skaggs of Climax Springs, Missouri, sister Kathy Parks of Overland Park, sister-in-law Wanda Skaggs of Havelock, NC and many beloved nieces and nephews. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Onita, brother James Skaggs and niece Donna Parks.

The family would like to give a special thanks to home health care nurse Megan Broom for the great care and support she gave to LeRoy.

At LeRoy's request, there will be no service. Memorials can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
