Jacqueline "Jackie" Romaine Koch

July 26, 1946- March 19, 2025

Jacqueline R. Koch was born on July 26, 1946, in Leavenworth, Kansas. She was the 2nd of 13 children to Douglas and Alice Colon. She was 78 years old when she passed away in her home on March 19, 2025.

Jackie went to Leavenworth schools. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. She loved to draw and color. Most of all, she loved being outside with her plants and flowers. Jackie received her CMA and worked for Lansing Correctional Facility as a medication administrator.

In 1972, Jackie was joined in holy matrimony with Donald Koch. They were married 52 years. Together they raised 7 children.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Alice Colon, 2 sisters, Mary Wilson, of Mississippi and Alberta Longmire of Leavenworth, 2 brothers, John Colon and Calvin Colon, both of Leavenworth, 2 grandsons, Dakota Davidson and Kevin Colon, a brother-in-law, Jim Watkins, 6 nephews, David Hyde, Michael Hyde, John Hyde, Jim Mitchell, Josh Colon, and Johnathan Colon, a son-in-law, Al Montgomery.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Donald Koch, 7 children, Earl Davidson, William Davidson, Michele (Phillip) Koch, of Leavenworth, Renae Robertson of Lincoln, Nebraska, JoLena (Ronnie) Morris of Carthage, Mississippi, Billy Koch and Donny Koch, of Leavenworth, Kansas. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren,5 sisters, 3 brothers and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins, all who loved her very much.

Jackie lived a life of compassion and joy. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and wisdom, leaving behind a profound impact on her family and friends.

Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She always placed the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love and unwavering support brought comfort around her and her smile could brighten anyone's day. She lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing moments spent with her loved ones. Whether she was in her yard picking weeds or planting flowers, sitting at the table with coffee and her family or just sitting on the porch catching a nice breeze, usually under a blanket. She was living her best life.

Memorial visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Friday,  March 28, 2025 from 10 to 11 A.M.  Funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Calvary Baptist Church. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
