James Lane Timmons (Toot), 84, passed away on December 26,2024 at his home in Leavenworth, KS.

James was born on June 19, l940 to Newton and Margaret (Chaszar) Timmons.

He is survived by Sister, Judy Hill.

James graduated from eavenworth High school.

James married Nancy Jackson. Norfolk, VA.  They later divorced.  He married Dorothea Bardroff on March 14, 1980, in Miami, OK.

James enlisted in the Navy on July l, 1958.  He retired on July l, 1988 after 20 years of active duty and 10 years in the reserves.  He served as an aviation electrician.  After retiring from the Navy, he went on to work for Transworld Airlines, TWA.  He then went to work for Global International Airlines.

James was a member of the American Legion, National Veteran's Honor Society and the VFW.  Jim enjoyed singing and playing his guitar and traveling in his R.V.  Jim was a proud patriot and enjoyed playing the bugle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Margaret, Brother, Donny and his beloved wife Dottie.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Matthew Lane Timmons, Michael Lane Timmons, and James Lane Timmons.  His stepdaughter Tamara A. Wagner and stepson Karl Bardroff, His sister Judy Hill, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be January 6, 2025, from 5-7PM at Davis Funeral Chapel 531 Shawnee St. Leavenworth, KS 66048.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM January 7, 2025, at Davis Funeral Chapel. A burial will follow at 11 AM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

A reception will follow at the VFW, Leavenworth KS
