James Walter Parsons (Jimmie) took the hand of Jesus and went to heaven with him on February 5, 2021 at the age of 75 in Kickapoo Township, Kansas. All of his children and wife Marilyn were at his bedside.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Tanner.

He was born at Cushing Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas on April 24, 1945. He was Baptized on June 17,1945.

He grew up in a multi-generational home with his Grandma, Mom and Dad, Sisters, Judy and Deborah, cousins Greta and Barbara. They had a farm on Lakeview Drive where Jim hunted, rode horses, raised pigeons and an owl.

Jim ands Marilyn were married on June 5, 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, children Brian and wife Deborah, Letha and husband Chris, Teresa, Adam and wife Jessica.

Grandchildren Alyssa, Shannon, Garrett, Paige, Brandon, Drake, Evelyn, Shane, Kameron, Olivia, and Nathan and great grandson Michael.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 2 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2101 10 ^th Ave, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 pm Thursday at the church.Inurnment of Cremains and a celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Easton, Kansas.
