James Michael Tarnawski, AKA Jim Tarnawski, passed away at home with his loved ones on Thursday, October 14 ^th , 2021. Jim was born May 8 ^th , 1959, at Saint John's Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. Jim is survived by his parents Frank & Ruth Tarnawski, his siblings Joan, John (Jennifer) & Joe (Millie). His son, Anthony Tarnawski & daughter-in-law Cassie Callaway. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and grandchildren Jacob, Bradley & Kaylssa. Jim graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School in 1977. Jim had a passion for HVAC; he worked with his family at Tarnawski Sheet Metal, a family business since the age of 16. Jim was a jack of all trades and master of one. He had an unknown talent with the trombone. He was a prankster-always playing jokes and pranks on all. He loved the outdoors. His favorite outdoor activity was fishing; he would wake up and fish until the dark if he could. Loved road trips; he went on many road trips with his son Aj. Another passion he had with his son was the Kansas City Chiefs; he was a season ticket member holder for many years. Jim was thoughtful, generous, and kind-hearted. He had a great relationship with anyone that he met. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 5 to 7 P.M.
