Jane Rightsell Wesner, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, passed away June 25, 2022 in Leavenworth, Kansas at the age of 85 years. Jane was born and raised in Greencastle, Indiana, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Rightsell. She graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana in 1958 with a degree in elementary education. She was an active member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority both in school as an alumna. She enjoyed a career as both a teacher and a church administrator. She was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church - Rockford, Illinois. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gordon E. Wesner, Jr and sister, Joan Baker. Jane is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Fox (Patrick) Roscoe, Illinois, Martha Nielsen (Mike) Leavenworth, Kansas and Laura Plummer (Jay) Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by grandchildren Stephanie, Brandon, Michael, Sarah, Jory and great grandchildren Leo, Rowan, Cooper, Lily and Stevie.

She loved her time with family, reading, quilting, composing newsletters for their former homeowners association, volunteering on RV mission trips with the United Methodist Nomads and their cottage on Horsehead Lake, Presque Isle, Wisconsin.
