Obituary

Jeressa Stout passed away at home on November 28, 2024 after a brief illness at the age of 52. She was
devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and sense of humor touched everyone she met. Jeressa had a gift for making the world around her brighter. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her infectious laugh was source of joy to all who heard it. Whether it was her gentle words or her playful spirit, Jeressa had a way of making everything better just by being there. As a nurse at the Leavenworth VA, Jeressa dedicated her career to caring for others, always putting the needs of those around her first. Her selflessness and compassion extended beyond her work and were reflected in her relationships with family, friends, and even animals. Jeressa cared deeply about the welfare of others, both human and non-human, and her legacy will be one of boundless love and care for the world.

Jeressa is survived by her husband, Mike Follmer; her children, Matilyn "Mattie Stout, Zachary "Zach" Stout (Alyssa), Cassandra "Cassie" Stout; her two nieces, Shannon Wages (Trent) and Amanda Saechao (Kao); two stepdaughters, Natalie Johnson (Adam) and Chelsea Kreuger (Stephen); her aunt Sandra Sigmon (Ken Proctor); and brother-in law, Jacques Mohaupt. She is preceded in death by her mother. Matilda "Mickey" Baker; father, Robert "Jerry" Tate; sister, Sandra Mohaupt, and husband Blan "Maury" Stout.

In honor of Jeressa's lifelong commitment to caring for others, the family requests that donations be
made in her memory to C.A.S.A., the Leavenworth Interfaith Community of Hope, the Richard Allen
Cultural Center, Leavenworth Humane Society or another charitable organization of choice in lieu of
flowers

Jeressa's presence in this world was a gift, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
