Jewell Marie Lee, 96, went to her Lord and Savior on February 14, 2024.  Jewell was born on June 8, 1927 in the family home in Butcher, MO to Thomas and Maggie Shelton.  She attended the Butcher and Weaubleau Public  Elemetary  schools and graduated from high school in Belton, MO.  She married Delbert W. Lee on April 3, 1949, and moved to Leavenworth, KS.

She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, and bluegrass music festivals.  Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life.

Jewell is survived by her 3 children:  Larry (Teresa) and Dan (Donna) of Leavenworth, KS and Judy (Dan) Koch of Easton, KS, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, her parents, her siblings and one daughter, Linda.

A private graveside service is planned and a Celebration of Life will be held at Riverfront Community Center on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from Noon to 3 P.M.  Memorials can be made to the Leavenworth County Council on Aging Meals on Wheels Program.
