Obituary

Jo Susan (Susie) Trader 70, of Easton Kansas, Passed away November 17 th 2021 at Atchison Hospital from complications from an extended battle with Covid. Susan was born January 8 th 1951 in Winchester Kansas to Ruth and Leonard Stafford. Susan had an older brother Gary who died 1934, 3 days after birth, her brother Dean who passed away in 1982 and younger brother James (Jim) who passed in 2010, her older sister Judy Endsley survives in Omaha Nebraska.

Susan married Bobby O Watkins in 1968, they had a son Bobby O Watkins Jr.. after a short time they had separated and she met Robert Matzeder where they had two Daughters Shannon (Matzeder) Romane and Sundae (Matzeder) Holler. Susan then met Keith Trader in 1985 they later married and were together until her passing.

Susan went to school for certification as an LPN. She worked at the Easton Nursing for years and then went to work for Winchester Hospital where she worked until retiring from an injury in 2011. She enjoyed putting out her Hummingbird feeders and watching the birds come in every year, loving on her Cat AK and granddog Copper. She was a huge Chiefs fan and watched every game she could. She also enjoyed her Sunday mornings watching the live feed from Troy Christian Church, she was saved years ago and was a Faithful Christian. She also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and decorating for Christmas every year. She always made Christmas the best! Susan loved her family time. She had a way about her to Love everyone.

Susan is survived by Keith Trader of the home, son Bobby O Watkins Jr (Carrie) of Highland, Ks. Daughters Shannon Romane, and Sundae Holler. Her grandchildren Kenzie Blevins, Luke Blevins, Lafe Blevins, Logan Blevins, Liam Watkins, Araceli Watkins, Annabelle Watkins, Mason Holler, Hattie Holler, Gage (Nicole) Romane, Cory Romane(Ellianna McNeil), Codi Romane, Raul Maldonado III, Rei Maldonado, Great Grandchildren McKinlee Romane, Waylon Romane, Sophie McNeil, Sadie McNeil. Also many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 27 th 2021, from 10:00am – 12:00pm with a service following the visitation at Davis Funeral Chapel Leavenworth Kansas. Tim Champ will preside over the service following visitation.
