John (Jack) Louis LaMay, 87, Leavenworth, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024 from natural causes surrounded by family and friends. He was born August 22, 1936. Son of Martha (Filbert) and John Louis LaMay, Leavenworth, Kansas.

He graduated from Immaculata High School. He served in the National Guard, worked in sheet metal trade for 30 years, and finished his career at Fort Leavenworth in Housing and Engineering, retiring in 1999.

He survived the death of his wife Carolyn (Joy) LaMay of Leavenworth in March 1980, and is survived by his daughter Cheryl (LaMay) Wilbanks and husband James (Jamie) Wilbanks, and son Jeffery LaMay and wife Phyllis (Hickman) LaMay, and 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grand children as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.

A private family service will be held.
