Judith Diane Schmidling (69), lifelong resident of Leavenworth, passed away at Providence Medical Center on January 15th, 2021.

Judy was born on March 13th, 1951 to Letha (Pat) and James (Lowell) Parsons. She attended Leavenworth High and still maintained and cherished friendships from her time there. She enjoyed playing board games, being with family, and chatting about anything and everything on the phone.

Judy is survived by her best friend and husband, Dennis Schmidling. Also, her children,  Jeff (Sheri) Schmidling and Debi (Charlie) Mohan. Her grandchildren Jenna and Andrew Schmidling, Kassie (Matt) Davis, Kara Karnosky-Olson, and Kaleb Karnosky, as well as her 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving siblings James (Marilyn) Parsons and Deborah (Jerry) Allen.The list could continue forever with the close bonds Judy had with her in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends. To know her, was to love her.

At Judy's request, there will be a small private graveside service. The family asks that you spend a little more time living the way Judy lived. Smile at a stranger, make a couple jokes, and appreciate the company of those you love.
