Katherine Jane Gilbert, 77, of Moscow, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Easton, Kansas.

Katherine was born on September 6, 1945 in Liberal, Kansas to Herman and Iva Jean Munson. She married Charlie Gilbert on August 4, 1974 in Moscow, Kansas. She resided in Moscow, Kansas for the majority of her life.

Katherine attended Moscow High School and Seward County Community College for Nursing.  She was a nurse for many hospitals and nursing homes.

Katherine enjoyed gardening, music, art, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Katherine Jane was a member of the Moscow Baptist Church.

Katherine is survived by her four children, Rick Grandstaff, Rachel (Phillip) Reese, Darcie Grandstaff, Peggy (Mark) Gunderson, seven Grandchildren, Micheal Elliott, Dusty Cline, Dakota Cline, Christopher Harjo, Stephanie Thornhill, Bethany Kyle, and Brooke Sniff, and several great- grandchildren, siblings, Ken Munson and Daroll Munson.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Gilbert and her sister, Barbara Williams, and her parents Herman and Iva Jean Munson..

Memorial contributions may be made to Moscow Baptist Church in Moscow, Kansas.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Moscow Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Steven Swann will be officiating the service.
