Kathy M. Bradfield (Langley) a cherished grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. Born on October 5, 1950, in Leavenworth, Kansas, Kathy was a lifelong resident of the community she loved deeply. Her journey through life was marked by creativity, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone who knew her.

A proud graduate of Leavenworth High School, Kathy dedicated much of her working years to serving others through her roles at the county infirmary and Twin Oaks. Her career was a reflection of her caring nature and her strong-willed determination to make a meaningful difference in the lives around her.

Kathy's personality was a beautiful blend of artistry and love. She was artistic, with a passion for doodling, drawing, and painting that brought color and joy into her life and the lives of those around her. Many who spent time with Kathy fondly remember sitting at her table, watching TV while sipping from her iconic Big Gulp cup, or joining her in solving crosswords and puzzle books—simple moments that showcased her warmth and zest for life.

One of the most endearing memories of Kathy was her "grandma bag," a treasure trove of snacks, goodies, and toys that delighted her grandchildren and special visitors alike. Her love extended beyond family, as she found joy in her regular lunch dates at her sister's house—a testament to the close bond they shared.

Family was the heart of Kathy's world. She is survived by her devoted children: Tammy (Jeremy) Bellar, Tara Bradfield, and Tina Bradfield-Martinez. Her legacy thrives in the laughter and love of her grandchildren Sadie, Grace, Paige, Bladen, Logan, and Dylan, as well as her great-grandchildren Kingsley Williams and Cody Bellar. Kathy was also a beloved sister to Carol (Gary) Russell. Her home was animated by the companionship of her dog, Peanut Butter, and cat, Jelly, who brought her much comfort.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Langley, her brother Michael Langley, and a cherished dog, Bruno Mars. Their memories remain a cherished part of her life's story and continue to live on in the hearts of her family.

Kathy M. Bradfield was more than the sum of her accomplishments; she was a beacon of love, strength, and artistic expression. Her outspoken and strong-willed nature was always tempered with a caring soul, creating a lasting impression of someone who lived fully and loved deeply.
