Larry Railsback (81) passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family on August 28, 2021.

Born Larry Dale Railsback on June 12, 1940 in Hutchinson, KS, he was the youngest of 6. Larry graduated from Colby High School in 1958.

Larry and Sue moved to Leavenworth in 1975 and have been very active in the community including the Eagles.

Larry worked for Sellers Tractor company for over 20 years as both a mechanic and as a salesman and he worked at Martens Auto Lot as a salesman and parts manager for over 10 years before he retired in 2004.

Larry is survived by his six children and their spouses, Traci and Billy Maxey, Terri Woods, Todd Railsback, Amy and John Renfroe, Staci and Aaron Blount, and Brett Railsback. Larry has 7 grandchildren, Rachel, Jenifer, Jesicca, Kari, Jaime, Victoria, and John, and he has 18 great-grandchildren Abi, Charlotte, Everett, Jaxon, Ryker, Jace, Rae, Kelli, Karmen, Alivia, Malik, Evelyn, Ajia, Mason, Melanie, Kelby, Adrian, and Ameliyah. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue and his grandson, Michael.

Special thanks go to Monica Scanlon for being a patient nurse and wonderful adoptive family member over the last 2 years.

Larry took with him his ornery sense of humor and his smile. We will miss you, Dad!

Visitation at Davis funeral home Thursday, September 2nd 5-7pm .  Graveside service is Friday at Mt. Muncie at 10:30am . In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Heartland Hospice Care or Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society.
