Obituary

Letty Elaine Haynes (Conrad), 74, of Leavenworth, KS, passed away on Nov. 28, 2023 after a long battle with Huntington's Chorea.

Letty was born on April 28, 1949 to John Conrad and Barbara Schock in Leavenworth. She was a lifelong resident of Leavenworth. After Letty graduated from Leavenworth Senior High School in 1967, she went on to study at a medical technical trade school.

After the completion of her medical programs, she went to work at the VA Medical Center in various medical roles, retiring from the VA after 20+ years. Letty enjoyed working and helping with all patient.

In 1969, Letty married William Arthur Haynes, having 4 children, Stephen Mathew, Joshua Miles, Jency Ann and Benjamin Tyler Haynes.

Letty enjoyed traveling, dancing, listening to music and going to the movies and much more. She just loved to be out and about with her infectious laughter. Letty loved and is loved by many.

Letty was predeceased by her mother, father and youngest son, Benjamin. She is survived by 3 children and their spouses, Matt (Danelle) Haynes, Josh (Emily) Haynes, Jency (Chris) Pierce, 7 grandchildren, 3 siblings and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitations will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth on Sat. Dec. 16, 2023 at 2 - 4p.  Gathering and Remembrance directly after at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church – Parish Hall, 209 N. 7th St, .(west side of st.), Leavenworth.

Special Thank You to all the medical professional's that helped take such good care of our mother for a number of years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Huntington's Disease Society of America.
