Lillie Mae Johnson, 82, of Leavenworth, Kansas went to be with the Lord unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
Lillie was born to Lucille McCoy and Archie Johnson on July 28, 1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Her childhood siblings included: Jane Lane, Helen Roberts Jessie Walker, Archie Johnson, Nathaniel White, Alvester Duckworth, Dollie Dougherty, and Harlan Duckworth.
Lillie retired from the Leavenworth VA where she was a dietitian. After retirement she worked at the Race Track and Prestige Home Health.
Lillie loved to fish. She also enjoyed bingo and watching western movies. Lillie cherished spending time with her family.
Lillie was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucille Wilson, six siblings, Jessie Walker, Archie Johnson, Nathaniel White, Alvester Duckworth, Dollie Dougherty, and Harlan Duckworth.
Lillie is survived by her children, Juanita Williams (Carl), Patricia Whitley, Thomas Anderson (Tammy), Dollie Robinson (Clifford Jr.), Harlan Anderson, and Gloria Childs (John). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gregory Briggs, Jr., Robert Whitley III, Rashad Whitley, Raymond Briggs, Lillie Wright, Bianca Robinson, Ebony Woods, Ramon Whitley, John Childs, Jr., Victoria Henson, Kesia Pearley, Devin Childs, Kenny Wilson, Skye Childs, Clifford Robinson III, Thomas Anderson, Jr., Marlon Anderson, Tyrone Anderson, Tommy Anderson III, Spencer Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Tomeka Anderson, Taleah Anderson, Mya Bryant, Toshua Williams. Also surviving her are her siblings, Jane Lane (Lamont) and Helen Roberts, close family friends, James and Georgette Diggs and MT Jones; a host of great- grandchildren, one great- great grandchild, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Davis Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
The family asks that every attendee wear a mask to help keep their family and yours safe during the visitation and funeral.
Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held at Sunflower Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
