Linda K. Burkhead, 70, Leavenworth, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Linda was born in Leavenworth, Kansas to Clifford and Irene (Holrich). McCormack. She is proceeded in death by her parents and her siblings, Jackie McCormack, William McCormack, and Patricia Kreutzer.

Linda is leaving behind a large and loving family, life partner Todd Abbott Sr. and her children. Jeffery (Cassie) Carter, Amy (Jerry) Stark, Leslie (Travis) Lukenich, Michael Burkhead, Molly (Jesse) Carter, Todd Abbott Jr., Katie (Garrett) Carter-Olsen. Her grandchildren Jeff Webb, Amanda and Fin Carter, Jhon Stark, Jeramy (Sarah) Stark, Jared (Sam) Stark, and Jeffery Stark, Kat Schneider and Lorelei (Robbie) Schneider, and Andrew Westerback, one great grandson Isaiah Stark. Her nieces and nephews, Kathy (Joe) Baker, Mary (Mick) Lynch, Carl (Sherry) Kreutzer, Lynn (John) Whetsten and Clifford Kreutzer have always been more like siblings to her.

Linda also had many other cousins, nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews who will also greatly miss her along with many other bonus family who also called her Mom and Nanny.

For many years Linda worked as a waitress in and around Leavenworth were many of her regulars became her cherished friends and family.

The family would like to invite her friends and family to join them in celebration of her life with food, memories, laughter, and tears on Friday December 10 ^th from 2 pm to 6 pm, at the Eagles Lodge in Leavenworth, Kansas on 20 ^th Street. If you would like to also bring a covered side dish to join in with our celebration please feel free to do so.

Flowers are being arranged through Land of Ahs Florist in Leavenworth.

The family would like to thank Eagles FOE 55 for their use of the hall and the main dish for the celebration, Glinda from Land of Ahs Florist for flowers and Davis Funeral Chapel for the care shown to the family and to Linda.
