Lynda Cory Robison lost her battle with cancer on 6 March 2025.Lynda was born on 19 Dec 1946. She was raised in Leavenworth, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer D. Cory and her husband, William "Vaughn" Robison.
She is survived by her mother, Bertha Cory, her sister Nancy Cory, her son, Jason Cory, his wife, Christina, and her grandchildren, Taryn and Landon Cory.
Lynda graduated from Washburn University with a BS and a Master's degree. She went on to teach behaviorally challenged children.
In 1968 Lynda became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout the years she served, faithfully and enthusiastically, as a temple worker, a nursery leader, a scout leader, a teacher of many different age groups. She worked in the local Church's food pantry for several years. Her most recent work has been in serving in the Kansas City Temple of the Church, and in gathering family history for others.
In 1982, Lynda authored the book "Boys Who Became Prophets". It was reprinted in 1992 and 1998 with additional stories she wrote about the church prophets during those years.
Throughout her life she has been an avid reader and researcher. She has always been willing to help anyone in need. Recently she has been involved with Founders Keep, which studied the Constitution, the Leavenworth County Republican Women, and has been a frequent volunteer at the Heritage Center.
Lynda's upbeat personality, her fierce loyalty, kindness, and Christlike spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Services for Lynda Cory Robison will be held WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19TH, 2025. The viewing is 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel (531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, KS 66048). The procession to the Leavenworth Veterans Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048) will leave from Davis Funeral Home at approximately 1:05 p.m. for a 1:30 p.m. graveside service.
Immediately following the graveside service, everyone is invited to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel ( Address: 1020 Limit St, Leavenworth KS 66048). In order to allow people time to get to the church the memorial service will start at 2:30 p.m. followed by a celebration of her life and Lunch will be served following the service.
