Martha Ann Haupt, 79, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026.

Martha was born May 11, 1947 to John and Marguerite Steidley Haupt in Leavenworth County, Kansas.

She graduated from Salt Creek Valley School. She remained at home as a help and companion for her mother. She enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, all of her four brothers, Carl, James, Charles and John Edwin and two of her sisters Ruth and Alice.

Martha had a stroke in 2005 which left her confined to a wheel chair but she lost her interest in life.

Martha is survived by two sisters, Anna of Lansing, Kansas and Joyce Amos, Jacksonville, Arkansas and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial contributions are suggestions to St. Joseph Church-St. Lawrence Parish, Easton, Kansas or Catholic Community Hospice, Kansas City, Kansas.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Tonganoxie Terrace Nursing Home, Tonganoxie, Kansas and the members of Catholic Community Hospice, Kansas City, Kansas.

No visitation is planned. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 1, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church , Easton, Kansas. Interment will follow in the funeral service in St. Louis Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, Kansas.
