Mary Ann Bentley Goff, 90, of Olathe, KS, passed away February 25,
2022, at Anthology of Olathe, surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born July 26, 1931 in Buffalo, Texas to Ben Kenneth
Bentley and Theo Riley Bentley. She was graduated from Buffalo High
School in 1948. She worked in Houston, Texas following graduation,
where she met her husband of 69 years, Ralph Raymond (Ray) Goff,
who was stationed in Texas while serving in the United States Air Force.
They married on November 3, 1951.
Mary Ann was a wonderful mother, homemaker, room mother, and
Sunday School teacher while raising their three daughters. She later
worked as secretary of the First Baptist Church of Olathe for many
years when her daughters were grown. Helping to care for her three
grandsons was also an important part of her retirement years. She was
involved in various women's circles at First Baptist Church as well as
contributing many baked goods and embroidered crafts to the annual
First Baptist Church Bazaar.
Mary Ann is survived by her three daughters: Janet (Steve) Hougland of
Olathe, KS; Jill (Robert) Hughes of Olathe, KS; and Joyce (Ronnie)
Golubski of Monett, MO. She is also survived by her three grandsons:
Bentley (Amy) Hougland of Bettendorf, IA; Philip (Rachel) Hougland of
Olathe, KS; and Greg (Kourtney) Hougland of Gardner, KS, along with
her nine great grandchildren: Natalie, Emily, Jackson, Tyler, Matthew,
Colton, Ryder, Rhett and Ryleigh.
Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, Leavenworth, KS, at a later
date. The family suggests donations be made to Heart to Heart
